Missing 82-Year-Old East Islip Woman Located
The woman was reported missing by her daughter-in-law on Wednesday.

EAST ISLIP, NY - Suffolk Police issued a Silver Alert on Wednesday for a missing 82-year-old East Islip woman.
Joyce Newins was last heard moving in her apartment on Tuesday morning by her neighbors.

She last spoke to her family via telephone early Saturday morning. She was reported missing by her daughter-in-law.
Newins (pictured above) is 5-foot-6 and 84 pounds.
She has medium length grey hair and is believed to be carrying a Vera Bradley handbag inside of a reusable Shop Rite bag. She does not have a cell phone.
Anyone with information on Newins’ location is asked to call 911 or the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
