CAFE ABLAZE Celebrates Decade of Service with Big 30th Concert
Resurrection's Christian Coffeehouse hosts The Jean Sandoval Band and the Duo of Anthony Tetro & Maureen Arasmo the evening of November 17.
CAFÉ ABLAZE Christian Coffeehouse, hosted by Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, opens its doors on November 17, the Saturday before Thanksgiving, to “give thanks” and celebrate a decade of service with its thirtieth concert event.
Named for the church’s Christian outreach movement, CAFE ABLAZE typically hosts two music ministry acts twice a year on select Saturdays in March and November. Open to all, festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. in Resurrection’s Fellowship Hall following the 5:30 p.m. Contemporary Worship Service.
Guitarist, songwriter and music producer, Jean Sandoval, leads his eight-member multi-instrumentalist Christian band there that evening. The Jean Sandoval Band is the largest group ever to percolate on the café stage. They play hot funk and jazz-infused rock and blues, and their brew is known in their home state but also popular with New Yorkers. Sandoval leads music ministry in Connecticut at The New Life Church in Wallingford.

Another first is the opening act. New to CAFE ABLAZE are Anthony Tetro and Maureen Arasmo. Both veteran solo singers, they will perform as a duo. Tetro, a sweet tenor, and Arasmo, a warm contralto, are music ministers at Samantha's Li'l Bit of Heaven Coffeehouse in East Northport. Their voices permeate popular contemporary Christian hymns and ballads.
Experience the robust CAFÉ ABLAZE blend for yourself! Live contemporary Christian music onstage; elegantly-set tables facing the raised stage (where every seat is a good one); unlimited self-service coffee, tea, and scrumptious desserts; pizza sold before show time; door prizes awarded after the show; and helpful volunteers in black t-shirts having the coffeehouse logo.
