7 Gerard Restaurant Opens In Huntington
The restaurant serves "healthy, flavor-forward" cuisine. Get a feel for what's on the menu that was designed by Chef John Brill.

HUNTINGTON, NY — 7 Gerard, a new seasonal restaurant committed to healthy, flavor-forward cuisine, announced its opening in Huntington Village. The new eatery is at 7 Gerard St. where Joy Mangano’s former restaurants, Porto Vivo and Jema, used to be.
Consulting Chef John Brill, who has cooked with the likes of Bobby Flay and Alfred Portale, is in charge of the menu, which is centered around the 6-foot mesquite wood-fired grill. Sushi chef Chulo Choi, who comes to the restaurant from Ciprani, curated the sushi selection.
"The focus is clean, locally-sourced New American cuisine with an emphasis on natural flavor and influences from around the world including Mediterranean and Asian tastes, with a wealth of gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian selections," the restaurant said via news release.

Brill aimed to create a menu offering a combination of the healthiest food cultures in the world. Diners can order appetizers, salads, wood-fired grill entrees, other entrees or a "two-share section," which features shareable starters such as surf and turf sliders or avocado egg-rolls. Entrees are 12-oz ribeye, Faroe Island salmon and espresso-crusted lamb loin, among others. The full 7 Gerard menu can be seen here.
The beverage program features creative cocktail concoctions using fresh ingredients. There will also be a large selection of local and national draft and bottled beer. The space also has a subterranean wine cellar for private parties featuring a selection of fine wine.

The space was designed by Eileen Kathryn Boyd, a celebrated interior designer who calls Huntington home. According to the restaurant, Boyd tried to design the three-level eatery to offer various atmospheres. There's a section for large, lively gatherings, as well as space for cozy tables for two.
7 Gerard will be open Tuesday through Sunday for dinner with the bar open late and sushi served at the bar until 1 a.m. For more information, visit www.7gerard.com or call 631-944-3777.
