The Cassata Foundation helps those in need, as well as other charitable organizations. It collects food, raises grant money, and more.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Local charities are the unsung heroes of our communities. Nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations strive to create lasting change and positively impact the lives of those around them.

Some people start organizations as a way to cope with grief, some see an issue they want to tackle, and some want to bring lasting change. Sometimes, all those reasons apply.

What does your charity do to further its mission? Please list examples.

The Cassata Foundation supports the local community through charitable events. We have worked with "Make a Wish," The Suffolk County Police "Shop with a Cop," local food pantries, student grants and so much more.

What inspired you to start your charity?

A desire to see the smiles on people's faces.

How can people help you accomplish your organization's mission or get involved in events?

The Cassata Foundation is a 501(c) Non Profit Organization and we help those in need as well as other charitable organizations. We welcome new events and organizations for which we can lend our support.

What is the most memorable moment you've had since starting your organization?

"Shop with a Cop, "2nd Precinct Huntington. I worked along with Officer Delgado and brought over 40 children and their families to the local Target and provided them with gifts and toys. The smiles and thanks were so precious and rewarding.

What else would you like people to know about your charity?

The Cassata Foundation support all support many charities but we are extremely dedicated to helping children and their families.
