Car Overturns Behind Huntington Station's Walt Whitman Shops
The crash happened Saturday evening.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A car overturned after a crash Saturday evening on New York Avenue behind Walt Whitman Shops in Huntington Station. The Huntington Manor Fire Department, Huntington Community First Aid Squad and Suffolk police responded to the crash around 7 p.m., said Steve Silverman, public information officer.
Under the direction of Chief Jon Hoffmann and assistant chiefs Chuck Brady and Jim Glidden, a heavy rescue truck was sent, and the crew secured the car. The driver suffered injuries that were non-life-threatening and was brought to Huntington Hospital.
