Del Frisco's Grille In Huntington Station Closing

More than 70 employees are expected to be laid off, according to the NYS Department of Labor.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Del Frisco's Grille, a steakhouse in Huntington Station's Walt Whitman Shops, is expected to close by the end of the year, according to the New York State Department of Labor. A total of 72 employees will be laid off after they were notified of the impending closure on Oct. 9.

The layoffs and closing are both scheduled for Dec. 23, and the employees are not represented by a union, according to the Department of Labor.

A call to Laura Stombaugh, vice president of operations services at Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, wasn't immediately returned.

Del Frisco's Grille in Huntington Station is rated a 4.2 of 5 in around 400 Google reviews. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner and brunch. In addition to the steaks it specializes in, Del Frisco's serves sandwiches, seafood, salads, soups, appetizers, desserts and cocktails.
