Farmingville Resident New Math Professor at Farmingdale State College

Steven D. Hoehner, a resident of Farmingville, has joined the faculty of Farmingdale State College as an assistant professor of mathematics.

Dr. Hoehner joins Farmingdale’s School of Arts & Sciences out of Case Western Reserve University, where he earned a PhD in Mathematics and was a graduate teaching assistant. He holds a Master’s in Mathematical Sciences/Mathematics for Educators from The Ohio State University, and a BS in Applied Mathematics from Columbia University.

Dr. Hoehner’s professional affiliations include membership in the American Mathematical Society and the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. He has given conference presentations at academic institutions such as Kent State University and San Francisco State University.
