"Food For Thought" Added to Museum's Craft Kit Line Up

Continuing a great program into the New Year, the Whaling Museum is offering 2 new kits that can be done at home! These at-home kits are a great way to learn something new and create with the family. It's also a great way to support this 85-year-old institution during what has been a hard time financially. After being closed for months, the museum is now open weekends, with limited in-person programming due to social-distancing restrictions.

"We wanted to continue our education programs, but had to pivot to a virtual platform," explains Assistant Director Cindy Grimm. "Our educators reworked some of our outreach lessons and were able to create adorable craft kits the public can purchase and pick up at the museum, and then access the educator's lesson online at any time."
