Funeral, Wake Services Set for Slain NYPD Sergeant From Huntington
The father of two was shot and killed in the line of duty Friday.

UPDATED at 1 p.m. Tuesday with information on road closures for funeral:
Wake and funeral arrangements for slain NYPD Sgt. Paul Tuozzolo, of Huntington, have been set.
Tuozzolo, 41, a NYPD officer for 19 years, was shot and killed in the Bronx Friday.

The funeral will be held Thursday at St. Rose of Lima, located at 2 Bayview Ave. in Massapeua, at 11 a.m. Expect lane closures and delays in the surrounding area. (Scroll down for the full road closure schedule)
The Massapeua School District announced classes as well as all during, before and after school activities will be canceled Thursday.

Visitation will be held Wednesday at Chapey Funeral Home, located at 20 Hicksville Road in Bethpage, from 2 to 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Motorists in the area can expect area delays and road closures Wednesday. (Scroll down for the full road closure schedule)
Information for burial will be posted on the funeral home’s website.
Thousands of community members came to The Paramount on Saturday for a candlelight vigil in memory of Tuozzolo.
The Town of Huntington painted a blue line on a local road in honor of the resident.
Tuozzolo, a resident of Greenlawn, was a husband and a father of two young children.

Road Closures During Wake
- There will be no parking on Hicksville Road from Hempstead Turnpike to Route 135 (Seaford Oyster Bay Expressway) from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
- Stewart Avenue from Hempstead Turnpike to Boundary Avenue will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.
- The wake may also cause traffic delays and detours, police say.
Road Closures During Funeral
- Merrick Road will be closed to all traffic between Hicksville Road and Park Boulevard in Massapequa from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
