MELVILLE, NY —Gregorys Coffee has opened two Long Island locations of its coffee shop chain this spring. The first took over the former Starbucks on Deer Park Ave. in Deer Park, and now a new store opened this week in Melville. The new coffee shop is located at 874 Walt Whitman Rd.

"Hello Melville! Our newest cafe is officially open, and boy does it look swanky," a Facebook post from the coffee chain said on Monday.

Gregorys Coffee has 29 locations, mostly in New York City and New Jersey. Gregory Zamfotis founded the company in 2006 as a specialty coffee brand, something less ubiquitous in New York than the West Coast. He told RestaurantBusinessOnline in March that after the pandemic he began focusing more on expanding outside Manhattan.
