GREENLAWN, NY — Orla Roberts hopes that, despite how challenging the past year has been due to the coronavirus pandemic, anyone who holds one of her "COVID angels" will remember that they aren't struggling alone.

Orla, a sophomore at Harborfields High School, has teamed up with Dr. Charlotte Rhee of Huntington Hospital; and her mother and operating room nurse Angela Roberts, to make small, jeweled angel keychains to serve as symbols of hope throughout the community, according to a news release from Harborfields Central School District.

Since its launch in March, the "COVID Angels Project" has gained tremendous traction among healthcare and essential workers across Long Island, as well as faculty, staff and students in the Harborfields School District.
