As many of you may know, on Saturday, November 3, Leah Mendelsohn, a third grader at Lloyd Harbor School, was hit by a van on New York Avenue in Huntington. She is currently in the ICU at Cohen’s Children’s Hospital with injuries to her head, liver and lungs. While the doctors are cautiously optimistic that she will make a full recovery, the road to recovery will be a long one. Leah will need to remain in the hospital for weeks, possibly months and then have to endure significant rehabilitation.

Leah's father has taken a leave from work to be at his daughter's side at the hospital while she is on her road to recovery. The donation page looks to help relieve the financial burden on Leah's family during this difficult time.
