Huntington 2021-22 School Budget Passes Easily
Three were also elected to the school board, including two new members.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Residents within the boundaries of the Huntington School District on Tuesday voted to pass the 2021-22 school budget by a margin of 993 votes to 250.
The district's budget is $139,315,854, up 2.48 percent from last year's. The tax levy is $112,718,438, up 0.33 percent.
Incumbent Christine Biernacki was re-elected to the board of education, according to the school district. Theresa Sullivan and Thomas Galvin were also elected.
