Huntington Girl, 8, Appears In 'The King Of Staten Island'
It marked the acting debut of Alexis Rae Forlenza, according to reports.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Alexis Rae Forlenza, 8, of Huntington, officially launched her acting career when she appeared in "The King of Staten Island" as Kelly, according to IMDB.
The film, starring comedian Pete Davidson, was intended for movie theaters but debuted on demand, News 12 Long Island reported.
Alexis received a quick call back after her audition last April asking if she could meet with the film's director, Judd Apatow, and Davidson, Newsday reported.

Alexis, who told News 12 she used to sing and dance in her living room, is now in her first movie.
"The King of Staten Island" is loosely based on Davidson's life, according to News 12. In the film, he plays Scott Carlin.

"Scott has been a case of arrested development since his firefighter dad died," the IMDB description reads. "He spends his days smoking weed and dreaming of being a tattoo artist until events force him to grapple with his grief and take his first steps forward in life."
Bill Burr plays the part of Ray Bishop, another firefighter who takes Scott under his wing, according to Newsday. Alexis was cast as one of Ray's two children who takes a liking to Scott.
Alexis studies acting at From Stage to Screen, which is located at 589 W. Jericho Turnpike, Huntington, according to News 12.
