Huntington Girls Soccer Players Win Suffolk Honors
Congratulations to those who were recognized!

HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington High School soccer greats Marissa Stafford and Ainsley Lumpe were recognized as All-County, while Emily Plachta garnered All-Division honors, the school district wrote on Facebook. Their achievements were celebrated at Tuesday night's 38th annual Suffolk County Girls’ Soccer Coaches Association awards dinner at Villa Lombardi’s in Holbrook.
A two-time All-County soccer player for Huntington, Stafford is headed to play lacrosse at Cornell University next year. Lumpe, the Blue Devils’ goalkeeper, will return to the field for her senior year. Plachta has two more years remaining and is expected to lead the team’s defense next fall.
Huntington coaches John Walsh and Vincent Tannazzo attended the dinner along with the players and their family members.
