Huntington Police Blotter: Handbag Stolen From Walt Whitman Shops
ALSO: A man drove through a stop sign and was charged with DWAI: drugs, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from June 27 through July 4.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Alec Pianin, 27, of East Northport, was driving a Toyota at the intersection of West Carver and New streets in Huntington around 11:40 p.m. July 1 when he drove through a stop sign, police said. Pianin, who was pulled over, had bloodshot and glassy eyes, and he smelled of marijuana, police said. He was arrested and charged with DWAI drugs: prior conviction in 10 years on July 2.
- Ryan Schlott, 39, of Kings Park, stole a Valentino handbag from Saks Fifth Avenue at Walt Whitman Shops in South Huntington, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000 on July 1.
