Huntington Police Blotter: Man Appears To Pull Gun In Road Rage
The man also kicked a Toyota and dented it during the road rage episode, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from March 7 through March 13.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.
- Christopher Senior, 55, of Huntington Station, was driving a 2015 Mustang on Seventh Avenue in Huntington Station at 5:20 p.m. March 12 when he was involved in a road rage dispute, police said. Senior pulled out what appeared to be a handgun and threatened the people in a Toyota, police said. Senior also kicked the Toyota and dented it, police said. He was arrested and charged with second-degree menacing: weapon and criminal mischief on March 12.
- Fernando Velasquez, 27, of Huntington, was found to be in possession of cocaine, marijuana, drug packaging, scales and THC cartridges when police searched his Huntington home, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: narcotic drug w/ intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on March 10.
- Derrick Loyde, 34, of Huntington Station, stole a purse in Huntington Station on March 7 and was found to have a stolen credit card, stolen checks and crack cocaine on him, police said. He was arrested on March 8, police said. On March 10, police determined Loyde had, on March 2, entered a parked 2006 BMW and stole a purse containing credit cards, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: credit card, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, petty larceny and fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property: credit card on March 8 and March 10.
