Huntington Police Blotter: Man Steals Motorcycle And ATV

The man who stole the vehicles from the Huntington Station home had an accomplice, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — These are recent arrests made in the Huntington area from March 28 through April 3.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Kelly Brister, 48, of Coram, was stopped by police at the corner of West 15th Street and 11th Avenue in Huntington Station at 6:20 p.m. April 3, police said. Brister, who was driving a black 2006 Lincoln, had a strong odor of alcohol on his breath, and he failed a field sobriety test, police said. He was arrested and charged with DWI: previous conviction in 10 years, aggravated DWI, failing to use interlock device, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation on April 3.
  • Joel Santiago, 38, of Huntington Station, stole a 2021 Honda CRF110F motorcycle and 2018 Polaris ATV during the overnight hours between March 24 and 25 on Eighth Avenue in Huntington Station, police said. Santiago had an accomplice, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny on March 31.
