Huntington Residents Sound Off on Snow Plowing

How have the roads in your neighborhood fared during the blizzard? Find out what your neighbors said on Facebook.

Winter Storm Jonas brought over a foot on snow to most of Long Island with a half dozen towns gaining totals of over 2 feet.

The blizzard led to travel bans on both the Long Island Expressway and the Northern State Parkway, while LIRR service was suspended until Monday morning.

While the bans are currently lifted, the LIRR is still facing sizable delays and numerous Long Island school districts announced closures as the island works to dig itself out of this weekend’s blizzard.

  • “I was scared to even go for a walk yesterday, the plow job was horrible and so narrowly plowed i nearly got run over as a car came around the bend and started sliding. Had to jump into the snow to avoid being run over. “
