Huntington Station House Boarded Up, Woman Arrested: Police
The woman was unlawfully staying at the house for more than a year, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A Huntington Station home was boarded up, and a woman has been arrested, Suffolk police said.
Isharray Herring, 25, was unlawfully staying at 50 Teed Street between June 19, 2020, through Friday, police said. She was charged with second-degree criminal trespass.

"Today the Town of Huntington's Departments of Public Safety, led by Joe Cirigliano, and General Services, led by Andre Sorrentino, boarded up the house at 50 Teed Street after the SCPD executed an arrest warrant for illegal occupants," Town of Huntington Supervisor Chad A. Lupinacci said via news release. "Great job by Town Code Enforcement Inspector Barry Zippelius, SCPD Lt. Mike Teplanski and the 2nd Precinct Crime Squad for their tireless efforts on behalf of our Huntington Station community!"

The Huntington Town Board designated the property as a nuisance at its May 11 meeting and authorized the town to fix any "blight issues" and charge the cost of remediation as a lien against the property owner's tax bill.
Residents had made various reports of code violations of the house over the past several months while a law enforcement investigation into criminal activity was underway, the town stated.
