Huntington Station Resident Dies At 52 Of 9/11-Related Illness

Services for Scott ​Blackshaw will be held this week.

Scott Blackshaw, 52, of Huntington Station, died on Sunday due to an illness connected to working at Ground Zero after 9/11.

He relied on “TEAM SCOTTY”, consisting of friends, neighbors and Police colleagues during this difficult time and will always be loved and remembered. Scott is survived by his beloved brother David (Amy) and nephews Michael and Matthew, his constant and devoted Corgi-- Bo.

Visitation will be at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, located at 934 New York Ave. in Huntington Station on Tuesday from 4 to 9 p.m. Mass will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Northport on Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the “Ray Pfeifer Foundation” in his memory.
