Huntington Station Resident Named Title IX Coordinator

Huntington Station resident Frank Rampello has been named Title IX Coordinator at Farmingdale State College. Rampello holds the position along with his duties as Assistant Dean of Students.

Rampello’s new responsibilities include overseeing the processing of inquiries from students and employees regarding Title IX rights and responsibilities; ensuring policies and procedures reflect federally issued guidance and state regulatory expectations; collaborating with campus constituencies related to Title IX matters; and liaising with federal and state agencies.

Rampello – who is also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of English/Humanities - joined the Office of the Dean of Students in 2009. He is also an alumnus of the College, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS in professional communications. He earned a Chancellor’s Award for Student Excellence, the highest student honor awarded by the State University of New York (SUNY). Rampello also served as vice president of the Student Government Association.

In 2017, Rampello authored a successful $625,000 grant proposal from the NYS Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. The project promotes the dangers of underage drinking and drug abuse, and informs students that high-risk behaviors can alter academic success and athletic performance, and negatively influence life-goals.

Rampello is a long-distance runner, a fan of science fiction novels, and a devoted husband and father.
