HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington Hospital on Tuesday announced additional precautions to protect the health and safety of its patients and staff amid the growing number of coronavirus cases in the area.

  • Effective Nov. 30, Huntington Hospital will suspend all visitation — except for extraordinary circumstances — to prevent the introduction of COVID-19 into its facility.
  • One support person for patients in its Center for Mothers and Babies may remain throughout the hospital stay.
  • Outpatient Radiology services are canceled effective Nov. 30.
  • Huntington Hospital's surgical services are fully operational. Staff will shepherd COVID-negative surgical patients through the hospital's established safe pathways; these patients are separated from COVID patients and remain separated from any COVID patients during their entire stay.
