HUNTINGTON, NY — Revive Health Studio, a wellness center, opened in Huntington at the start of December. The new business is at 44C Gerard St.

Jenna Schulman, the founder, said her business features in-store sessions on a TuneBed, as well as home and beauty products that promote wellness. Schulman believes her business came at the right time due to the pressures of the coronavirus pandemic.

"2020 is probably THE most important year for stress relief!" Schulman told Patch in an email. "The COVID pandemic wasn't and still isn't easy on anyone, and I believe it changed the perspective that health is the most important commodity that we can have. Unfortunately, the mental health crisis has become more prevalent as well, the stress and anxiety of being stuck inside, losing jobs, losing businesses and as well as the lives of friends and family challenged people's mental health in ways never seen before."

The TuneBed uses sound and vibration to boost one's mental wellness and physical recovery in 15-minute sessions. Customers can choose from seven frequencies. For example, Brighten aids in stress relief and mood enhancement, while Focus helps relieve mental clarity and fatigue, Schulman said. Revive Health Studio marks the first public location to use the TuneBed on Long Island, according to Schulman.
