ICYMI: Town Looks to Build Blueway Trail Along Huntington Shoreline
The trail would travel through Cold Spring Harbor, the Long Island Sound and the Huntington-Northport Bay area.

Officials look to bring a Blueway Trail to the Town of Huntington that would travel through Cold Spring Harbor, the Long Island Sound and the Huntington-Northport Bay area.
The Huntington Town Board applied for a $76,000 New York State Environmental Protection Fund grant at its July meeting to get the Huntington Blueway Trail project started.
A Blueway Trail is a water route for non-motorized boats such as kayaks, paddle boards and canoes that brings recreational activities and awareness of the environment together. These trails travel through communities and land attractions such as parks, natural and cultural heritage points of interest, trail heads, amenities and more.
