Lake Grove Resident New Reference Librarian at Farmingdale State College
Megan A. Margino, a resident of Lake Grove, has joined the staff of Farmingdale State College as reference librarian.

Megan A. Margino, a resident of Lake Grove, has joined the staff of Farmingdale State College as reference librarian.
Ms. Margino comes to Farmingdale’s Greenley Library from the New York Public Library, where she worked in the division of U.S. and local history, and genealogy. Previous to that she worked in the libraries at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue and the Comsewogue Public Library in Port Jefferson Station.
Ms. Margino holds a Master’s in Library and Information Science from St. John’s University, and a BS in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Adelphi University. She also has teaching experience, having taught classes in genealogy, information literacy and Pinterest at the libraries she worked at prior to joining Farmingdale.

Ms. Margino also holds several honors, including “Best Blogger” at the New York Public Library, and the Dewey Scholarship from the New York Library Association.
