Long Island Views The 2017 Solar Eclipse [PHOTOS]

See how Long Island residents celebrated the natural phenomenon.

Long Island got out their solar eclipse glasses— or homemade eclipse viewers made out of cereal boxes— to view the partial solar eclipse in the sky on Monday afternoon.

Long Island experienced an approximately 70 percent eclipse. At peak totality, the sky looked like this in Bellmore, NY.
