Man Arrested After Firing Gun In Air In Huntington: Police
The man was arguing with several people early Friday when he shot the gun, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — A man who fired a gun in Huntington early Friday was arrested, Suffolk police said.
A possible gunshot was reported on Elm Street via 911 around 1:30 a.m., prompting Second Precinct officers to respond, police said. Tyshon Parker, 24, of Huntington Station, fired a gun into the air during an argument with several people before he ran off, police said. No one was injured.
Officers received a description of Parker and found him nearby on Fairview Street, police said. Officers recovered a loaded .380 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun, police said.

Parker was arrested and charged with prohibited use of a weapon and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
