Man Rescued Off Boat In Cold Spring Harbor

The man, 75, was suffering from diabetic shock early Tuesday before he was rescued and brought to a hospital, police say.

COLD SPRING HARBOR, NY — A man was rescued when he suffered a medical episode while on a sailboat in Cold Spring Harbor on Tuesday morning, Nassau police said.

A woman told police that her husband, 75, was suffering from diabetic shock around 3 a.m. Marine 11 found the sailboat and brought the man to Teddy Roosevelt Park where an Oyster Bay Fire Department Ambulance was waiting. The man was brought to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation.
