Man Shoves Employee In Walt Whitman Mall Robbery: Police

The man stole six pairs of sunglasses worth $3,350 before pushing the employee, police say.

SOUTH HUNTINGTON, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help in finding the man who police said robbed a South Huntington store in April.

A man entered Sunglass Hut, inside Walt Whitman Shops, around 2:50 p.m. April 11 and stole six pairs of Chanel sunglasses worth a total of $3,350, police said. When confronted by an employee, the man pushed the employee before running out of the store, police said. The man is wanted for robbery.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
