More Than 3,000 Lose Power In Town Of Huntington
A major storm hit Long Island on Sunday night leaving many residents with no power.

UPDATE: As of Tuesday morning, PSEG is reporting 1,821 customers are affected by 228 outages in the Town of Huntington.

PSEG Long Island is reporting there are more than 3,000 customers without power in the Town of Huntington area as of Monday afternoon after a coastal storm hit the area on Sunday night.

Winds with gusts up to 65 mph as well as several inches of rain hit Long Island beginning Sunday night through Monday morning.

Several trees and poles were knocked down and flooding was reported in several areas of Long Island.
According to PSEG a total of 285 outages have been reported as of Monday afternoon, impacting 3,606 customers in the Town of Huntington. PSEG serves a total of 79,719 customers in the Town of Huntington.
The latest estimated time of restoration is 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, PSEG reports.
In addition, PSEG reported that it has restored power to 55,186 customers across Long Island as of 9:30 a.m.
