"Jessica's story is amazing; we had just opened when a Good Samaritan showed up with her," David Ceely, Town of Huntington Cat Shelter's Executive Director, said. "Her eyes had never developed and she needed them surgically closed to prevent infection. Jessica has been such a trooper; she's totally outgoing and affectionate."

There are still many cats and kittens available for adoption, the shelter says.

"This was a huge success; we had so many people coming through that families had to wait to get into the building," David Ceely, Town of Huntington Cat Shelter's Executive Director, said. "Everyone was excited to see our available kittens and it was so great that our adult cats got plenty of attention too."

The Town of Huntington Cat Shelter is located at 104 Deposit Road in East Northport.
