Huntington, NY — The Book Revue, Long Island's largest independent bookstore, has a tradition of attracting some big names to speak and sign books. Next month, Newt Gingrich is scheduled to appear. The former Speaker of the House will speak about his new novel, "Shakedown" and sign copies 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 24. The Book Revue is at 313 New York Ave.

Gingrich's novel is a sequel to his bestselling political thriller Collusion. Shakedown's plot centers around returning main characters Mayberry and Garrett who find themselves in the middle of a nuclear crisis, working with Mossad spies and clandestine intelligence figures to thwart an attack on American soil.

To have a book signed at The Book Revue, you must purchase a copy on site. The event is free but first come, first serve.
