Obituary: Brian Conners, 25, of Centerport

Brian Michael Conners, 25, of Centerport, was killed in a tragic accident, on January 14.

Cherished son of Mike and Jackie. Dear brother of Christopher. Adored grandson of Annette and Capt. Ed McGrath and the late Charlotte and Donald Golden. He is loved and will be missed and was very lucky to have so many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, located at 934 New York Ave. in Huntington Station, on Friday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church, located at 53 Prospect Road in Centerport, on Saturday at 9:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Conners was an assistant football coach at Smithtown High School East and planned to start teaching next fall. More on Conners here:
