Obituary: ​Elizabeth (Evans) Pifferrer, 82, Formerly Of Greenlawn

Elizabeth (Evans) Pifferrer, age 82, died at home in Winston-Salem, NC on Sunday, May 6, 2018, due to complications of pulmonary fibrosis.

Born October 8, 1935 in Skibbereen, Ireland, she lived in Greenlawn for most of her life before moving to North Carolina in 2017. She worked as a bookkeeper and homemaker, and enjoyed laughter, music and dancing. Betty touched the lives of many people during her long life and will be fondly remembered.

Survivors include her children, Lisabeth, Raymond and Joseph; her grandson, Kevin; her former spouse, Faustino Pifferrer; her longtime companion, Ray Platt; and many beloved nieces and nephews around the world. Services will be held at on 10:30 am on Saturday, June 2 at First Presbyterian Church, 497 Pulaski Road, Greenlawn, NY. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception immediately following. A memorial service will also be held in Skibbereen, date and time TBA.
