Obituary: Kenneth Lygren, Ex-Commissioner Of Huntington Manor FD
He served the department for 32 years as a commissioner and firefighter.

Kenneth Orrin Lygren, age 68, an ex-Commissioner of the Huntington Manor Fire Department, died on Wednesday, October 11.
His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017, in the Warlick Funeral Home Chapel in Lincolnton, NC, with Pastor Fred Mitschke officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m., and then 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Warlick Funeral Home.
Kenneth was born September 6, 1949, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Torgeir and Olean Egeland Lygren. He was a contractor. He served for 32 years in the Huntington Manor Fire Department where he was a fireman, as well as fire commissioner. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Catawba Valley Wildlife Club, and Howards Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of the Lincolnton Sportmans club.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Lygren of the home; two sons, Kristian Lygren, and wife Barbara, of Crouse, and Erik Lygren, and wife Angell, of Charlotte; one brother, Steven Lygren of Huntington, NY; and one sister, Randi Haverstrom of Spring Hill, FL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincoln County, 900 Dontia Drive, Lincolnton, NC 28092, or to the Howards Creek Volunteer Fire Department, 827 W. Highway 27, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
