Pedestrian Hit By Car While Crossing Huntington's Main Street
The man was trying to walk to his vehicle when he was hit by a car and seriously injured, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — A pedestrian was seriously injured after he was hit by a car in Huntington on Monday evening, Suffolk police said.
Harvey Louie, 57, of Flushing, Queens, was crossing Main Street to get to his vehicle when he was struck by a 2009 Lincoln SUV being driven eastbound around 6:25 p.m., police said.
Louie is being treated for serious physical injuries at Nassau University Medical Center, police said. The SUV driver, a 65-year-old Huntington man, was not injured, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
