Robert Fresco, Ex-Newsday Reporter, Dies Of Coronavirus: Report
Robert Fresco died on his 78th birthday, according to Newsday.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Huntington resident Robert Fresco, a longtime Newsday reporter, died Sunday due to complications from the new coronavirus, his daughter, Sarah, told Newsday.
Sunday was Fresco's 78th birthday. He worked on Newsday's Pulitzer Prize-winning story about Baby Jane Doe and many of the outlet's other investigations.
Fresco's health declined since 2008 after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and he has lived at the Maryville Enhanced Assisted Living in Huntington since 2015, Newsday reported.
