Snow Emergency Declared for Town of Huntington

Residents are asked to stay off roads and park their cars off the streets.

As a Nor'easter strikes the region for another week in a row, Huntington Supervisor Chad Lupinacci declared an official snow emergency, which became effective at noon on Wednesday.

What a "snow emergency" means for Town of Huntington residents:

  • Lupinacci may close roads, appropriate necessary equipment and make necessary purchases without following the usual procedures. These rules also apply to the Town Highway Department Town equipment and personnel to assist Highway Department Crews.
