Huntington's Matt Frevola Earns Decision Win At UFC Tampa
The pro mixed martial artist picked up a gutsy win over lightweight prospect Luis Pena. See some highlights from his victory.

TAMPA BAY, FL — Matt Frevola, of Huntington, improved his professional mixed martial arts record to 8-1-1 on Saturday night with a decision victory over fellow lightweight prospect Luis Pena at UFC Tampa.
Frevola is now 2-1-1 in the UFC, arguably the world's largest MMA promotion. However, he had his hands full with Pena, aka "Violent Bob Ross."
The two went back-and-forth all fight, especially the first round where Frevola started strong. Despite Pena coming on late in the round, it wasn't enough, as two of three judges scored the first round for the "Steamrolla" Frevola. That proved to be the difference, as Pena won the second round, while Frevola came back to win the third. The verdict was two of three judges scoring it 29-28 in favor of Frevola, giving him the split decision nod.

The "Violent Bob Ross" lived up to his moniker, painting madness with buggy chokes, flying knees, and kimuras. Matt Frevola's response? Relentless aggression and slams. A damn good fight! #UFCTampa pic.twitter.com/vfb9nxVYo0

Frevola landed hard hooks, as well as several slam takedowns, which got him the nod. It wasn't easy though, as Pena attacked with submission attempts. Pena landed one jump knee that stumbled Frevola, but the Long Islander managed to survive and go on to win the fight.
Dude took this knee SQUARE in the face and somehow kept his feet. Then somehow won that match... #UFCTampa #ViolentBobRoss #MattFrevola pic.twitter.com/vNgmJvDlqt
