Since 1947, the Marine Corps Reserve has been making Christmas wishes come true for needy
children with their Toys for Tots campaign. Toys for Tots on Long Island makes a difference in
the lives of less fortunate children in our communities.

"I am proud to be able to stand here with the United States Marine Corps Reserve today, as
they are not only heroes for serving our great nation, but for serving the children in our
community," Councilman Eugene Cook said. "I am thankful to know that their efforts will ensure that no parent goes through this holiday season not being able to watch their child open a holiday gift. As there is no greater joy as seeing your child happy."

Smyth and Guthman also praised the Marines and the Huntington community.
