Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived to applause Saturday at the tree lighting at the Vanderbilt Museum in Centerport.

Singers from the Northport Chorale, and the Carriage House Players theater company, carols, an ornament workshop for children, and hot chocolate and cookies were part of the event
