MILLER PLACE, NY – Suffolk Police say they have arrested the man who robbed a Miller Place bank last week.
Major Case Unit detectives arrested 29-year-old Raymond Peruggi in Mastic Beach at about 8:55 p.m. Monday. Peruggi, who is homeless, is charged with third degree robbery.
According to police, Peruggi entered the Chase Bank located at 385 Route 25A at about 2:40 p.m. on Aug. 12 and displayed a note demanding cash to an employee. The teller complied with the Peruggi demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police say.

Peruggi was held overnight at the Seventh Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Tuesday.
