A man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after the LIE crash that seriously injured a Medford man. Barito, a bar on Main Street in Port Jefferson, was shut down for having too many patrons inside. Brookhaven Town is trying to fix drainage into the LI Sound in Rocky Point that is negatively affecting local water quality. And police responded to yet another boat rescue in Wading River.

  2. Lisa Finn looks at yet another boat rescue off Wading River Beach. On Monday, two people in a 14-foot aluminum boat were rescued by Riverhead Town Police. (Patch)
  3. Ryan Bonner updates us on a serious crash on the Long Island Expressway that left a Medford man critically injured. Joseph Savasta, 57, from Oyster Bay was charged with driving while intoxicated. He hit a tow truck driven by 37-year-old Christopher Francis with a 2019 Mercedes at 4 a.m. Wednesday morning. Police are looking for eyewitnesses. (Patch)
  4. Peggy Spellman Hoey tells us that Port Jefferson bar Barito was shut down over the weekend for being almost three times over capacity. New York State Liquor Authority inspectors also found three unlicensed bouncers were working. Suffolk police, along with the inspectors and fire marshals and constables from Port Jefferson, found 348 people inside around midnight Saturday. (Patch)
