Big Changes Ahead In The Long Island Forecast
Don't put away those summer clothes just yet. But you may need a raincoat for the holiday weekend.

It was a chilly 46 degrees at sunrise on Long Island Monday before the temperature climbed to 72 degrees at MacArthur Airport in the afternoon. But if you are wishing for one more taste of summer, you will like the upcoming forecast.
A high-pressure system will slide south of the area on Wednesday, resulting a gradual warming trend for area, the National Weather Service says. Thursday's high will be near 80 degrees.
Temperatures will remain about 10 degrees above normal for this time of year on Friday. Rain, however, will threaten Columbus Day weekend.
