Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Long Island
Flooding Thursday morning forced one local school district to cancel the first day of school. We could see more rough weather tonight.

The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Long Island:
There is an isolated flash flood threat through this evening ahead of a cold frontal passage. The heavy rain threat will taper off from northwest to southeast late tonight behind the front.
Rain is likely on the island until early Friday. Hourly rainfall rates of up to 2 inches will be possible. There's also a chance of thunderstorms until around midnight.

Several inches of rain fell on the island Thursday morning, making many roads impassable. The Long Beach School District was forced to cancel its first day of school.

Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Friday-A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. North wind 10 to 13 mph.
Friday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 59. East wind around 9 mph.
Saturday- Sunny, with a high near 72. Northeast wind 11 to 15 mph.
Saturday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 60.
Sunday- A 30 percent chance of showers after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 78.
Sunday Night- Showers likely, mainly before 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.
