Heat Index To Flirt With 100 Degrees On Long Island
Welcome back, hot and humid weather. The first forecast for Labor Day weekend is also out and it's not looking great.

If you missed the unbearable heat and humidity the last few days, you are in luck! It's returning with a vengeance beginning Monday as temperatures approach 90 degrees on Long Island.
It will be even hotter on Tuesday and Wednesday. A heat advisory will be in effect for the island on both days. The National Weather Service says heat index values – how hot it feels with humidity factored in – could reach a high of 104 degrees.
Things will "cool down" a bit come the end of the workweek, but the initial Labor Day weekend forecast looks a bit dicey. There's a chance of rain Friday night through Sunday, the NWS says.
