The family-owned market located at 39 Broadway made the generous offer on its Facebook page Thursday night.
Numerous government workers commenting on the post thanked the market for its kindness.

One woman wrote: "I am retired from the IRS but because your restaurant is being so kind to the IRS folks..I'm going to and sending my friends to your restaurant as paying customers as a thank you for helping my friends still working at the IRS."
Tanger Outlets, which locations in Deer Park and Riverhead, is also supporting government workers by giving away free $20 gift cards to those affected by the shutdown.
