Man Recorded Female Co-Workers In The Bathroom: Police
He placed a video recording device, which looked like a cell phone charger, in an electrical outlet in the women's bathroom, police say.
RONKONKOMA, NY — A Rocky Point man was charged with recording female co-workers in the bathroom, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, the incidents took place at Trinity Solar in Ronkonkoma when Michael Evans, 32, placed a video recording device in the employee bathroom of the business earlier this year. A female employee discovered a device plugged into the electrical outlet in the women’s bathroom; the device appeared to be a cell phone charger, police said.
Upon further inspection, other employees realized it was a recording device, police said.

Following an investigation, Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives determined that the device was placed in the bathroom by Evans, who was employed at the business at the time, police said.
Evans recorded the victims between March 7 and March 14; he left the company on April 1, police said.

A search warrant was executed Friday at Evans' home, where he was arrested at 4:50 p.m. and charge with 12 counts of second degree unlawful surveillance, police said.
He was held overnight at the Fifth Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday, police said.
