1. Jerry Barmash has a story on a couple arrested in Franklin Square for having multiple unregistered guns in a pickup truck, along with six grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms. Anthony Cinelli, 26, of Miller Place, and Marina Rubio, 26, of Farmingdale, also possessed material to build a gun, according to police. (Patch)

2. Lisa Finn reports on new findings of cyanobacteria blooms, or blue-green algae, that have been found on Long Island. The harmful blooms were found in Artist Lake in Middle Island. (Patch)

3. News 12 Long Island compares Suffolk County's preteen vaccination rate to state and national averages. Suffolk is below state average, and Nassau is above. 32.1 percent statewide have at least one shot statewide, but only 24.5 percent of Suffolk kids in that age range have at least one shot.
